Back with the family. Love having my soft bed again. Don’t miss a certain trouble-causing family member and her drama-baiting. Glad to see mother again, but worried. Walked in on her kinda half in the fridge and struggling to fix icecream. Played tons of Awesomenauts. At Pres9 Level 80ish. Could Pres10 by tomorrow.

Saving: Balloons
There were Mardi Gras balloons everywhere yesterday. Very pretty. More balloons of some other kind today. Also had tacos today. Put in application for a job. Working on learning JQuery during the ‘spring break’ between continuing projects. Staying with family for the week.
Saving: Threestack
Went to classes. Ate lunch with Ben and another guy I forgot the name of. Reworked SSE TSPi spreadsheets.
Drew some NFSW. It’s on the Retl2 tumblr. Candi, Spree, and PokeyPierce/Pinprick having close-quarters FUN!
Bednow.
Now Saving: Uneventful.
Very little done. Worked on SrnSoftEng project for Team No Contest. Worked on a new fic that will be revealed later. Currently at 245 words of 500 minimum. New MLPFiM episode was adorable but forgettable.

Now Saving: Four Hours
Tweaked The Seas Have Eyes. Now it uses the rigid body and forces to move around rather than forced translations.
The Web Team is looking for new workers. I got excited about it, and then realized I’d be graduating about the time I could get hired, and I probably wouldn’t be able to afford to continue staying in this area.
Now Saving: When the Mind Goes Wandering.
I’ve got the A-OK to write my part in a collaborative fic based on a certain thing. So I’ll have to get on that in short time. Probably not hard to guess what I’ll be writing, given all the stuff I’ve been drawing.
Also there were balloons to decorate an event thingy today! Though when I was on my way back to my room, they had already done cleanup and thrown away most of them. I saw the strings hanging out of the trash bin. Though there was one balloon on the ceiling. I wanted to take it with me, but I don’t think I’d have been able to get it on the bus very easily. Mind went wandering and I started thinking about all the things that might have been done with them that I could have caught on video had I just been in the right place at the right time. I nearly fell down the stairs for staring. Still. Distracting fantasies are preferable to the phobia.
And uh. Aside from that, a fairly average kind of rote day of classes.
Finally got in contact with the third member of the team and they have the player controls and it is SO NICE to see that in action. It’s still on me to get the units doing interesting stuff.
Tomorrow’s plan: The Seas Have Eyes, Stable 45, and hopefully write the fic I was talking about. In addition, I need to complete the TSPi Simulator spreadsheet and the SE Sim Game.
Now Saving: Oculus Rift is Freaking Cool
Instead of calling these things ‘Daily’- which they’re not- I’m going to call them Now Saving. Because it’s basically me saving my game before I go to bed. You know. Just in case. But sometimes I forget to save.
PnP day today was Keras’s final day. Session started with the character exploding, and then EVERYONE PASSED OUT the end. (More was supposed to happen, but the GM’s internet was flakey for the whole six hour stretch. So after passing out due to gas, nothing else really happened. I feel kinda bad. Keras’s player didn’t get to do anything in their last day, and whatever happens next will probably be a sad, mourning type thingy that my character will be completely useless for.)
Class: HOLY CRAP I GOT TO USE THE OCULUS RIFT FOR MY FIRST TIME! It was pretty neat, especially with how well the head tracking worked with Minecraft and the Unity demo. However, while I was free to look around, I was not in control of the controller for the games we were trying, and I found that I kept losing my sense of balance constantly while looking around.
GamesII: Cleared up the permissions error. While the BlueHuskyStudios subgroup had me assigned properly, that subgroup did not have access permissions for writing. Now that that’s fixed, I’ll have to push my updates to it. Maybe tonight. I merged the pull request I tried to send earlier just now, so my updates are now in the master. I still don’t 100% get what I’m doing with Github, but some of these tools are incredibly convenient. It’d be nice if we can put Oculus Rift support into The Seas Have Eyes. Next up: Make item pickups work.
SSE: Helped a teammate fix a problem where they were unable to sync with the group version of the project. Most of that discussion can be seen here. He’s made a workable camera, and now it’s on me to make the units do what they should. Just added third team member to the group, so soon he’ll bring in his controller and we should be all set up to play a game. Or. Something.
Stable 45: Did some art to help figure out how I’ll lay out the website. Struggled with it. You can browse them on sta.sh by clicking here. http://sta.sh/29jovs8t9c2?edit=1 Stable 45 at its core is about ponies that love fun. Though I think waaaaay far into overkill with the hexagon tiled floor. Might be nice for a recreation room, but I think I’m either going to use white square tiles for bedrooms and normal floors, or just stick with the setting-standard metal flooring and walls, but compensate with decorative holograms and robots. Infinite supplies. Limited Space. That’s one thing I’ll have to remember for everything I add, though.
